Jazz Band II

This course is designed to broaden students’ knowledge of musical horizons through jazz band music. Emphasis is placed upon student participation in a variety of performance and rehearsal situations. Students will learn to appreciate not only contemporary styles of jazz music, but also jazz standards and original compositions through performance and listening. This band is for intermediate to advanced level musicians.

Prerequisites: Experience playing an orchestra instrument; enrollment is by audition only
