Engineering Technology
Course Number: #6815
Using engineering simulation modules, students get hands-on experience with several engineering applications. Students study, research and develop design solutions to problems engineers face every day. Experiences include the use of plastic injection molding, Robotics programming, pneumatics simulation, electronics, materials engineering, Computer Automated Milling (CAM), precision measuring training and Thermal systems. The concept of the ‘design cycle’ is used for several design projects. Research, design modeling, building, testing and review are required for each project. Students involved in the First Robotics team competition would find this class helpful.
